This year marks the 80th anniversary of VE Day, a historic moment when the nation came together to celebrate the end of the Second World War in Europe. At Davro Site Services, we’re proud to honour this important milestone by hosting a VE Day Tea Party, bringing colleagues together in a spirit of reflection and celebration.
On 8th May 1945, millions took to the streets across the UK and Europe as news broke that German military operations had ceased. It was a day filled with joy, unity and immense relief—one that has been remembered and respected ever since. Known as Victory in Europe Day, it symbolises the courage, sacrifice and resilience of those who lived through the war, both on the front lines and at home.
To mark the occasion we’ll be raising a cup of tea in tribute to the wartime generation and enjoying traditional treats in true 1940s fashion.
As we celebrate, we also reflect on the strength and unity shown 80 years ago—a legacy that continues to inspire us today.
